Haiku Chasing Autumn

White wicker chairs
   bow to end of summer

Amber yellows, earth browns
   hail the rise of fall

Butter yellow sun
   Melts with autumn chill

Shivering moon dons cloak
   of ermine cirrus cloud

Ombre autum leaves flurry
   in ice-crystalled winter wind

Diffident gray dawn
    sparrows pack for South

Each phrase a different image and color presenting a different facet of autumn. So brief and so simple…a great evocation of season. The last line is a funny departure from the descriptive. I enjoyed the read. Thanks.
